Giraldo Alfonso
Dr. Giraldo Alfonso Cepero, DDS, is a highly accomplished dental professional with a career spanning multiple countries and decades of dedicated service. Born in Cuba, Dr. Alfonso relocated to the United States in 2006, where he continued advancing his expertise in dental technology at Florida National College, earning a perfect GPA in Crown & Bridge and Porcelain.
He later pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2017 and receiving recognition for outstanding community dental service. Dr. Alfonso strengthened his clinical foundation by completing a two-year ADA-accredited Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Community Smiles (2022) in Florida, receiving comprehensive training in implantology, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and complex restorative treatment.
In 2023, he completed the ADA-accredited Implant Masterclass at the Salama Dental Training Center, a one-year program focused on implant surgery and soft-tissue management. Following this, Dr. Giraldo Alfonso completed rigorous training through NORIS Academy in Advanced Remote Anchorage with Zygomatic and Pterygoid Implants.
Dr. Alfonso currently practices across multiple Florida clinics while also serving as faculty at Community Smiles, where he mentors AEGD residents, lectures, and provides comprehensive patient-centered care. Driven by a lifelong commitment to excellence, education, and community service, he combines technical mastery with compassion—transforming smiles while advancing the field of dentistry.

Dr. Echemendia is a Cuban-trained dentist specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Since graduating in 2009, he has amassed over 15 years of clinical experience, mentoring future dental professionals at Community Smiles and now bringing his expertise to Lakes Dental Group.

Dr. Guilherme Garcetti
Dr. Guilherme Garcetti is a highly accomplished dentist with over 20 years of experience in endodontics and advanced restorative dentistry. Trained in both Brazil and the United States, he earned his DDS from São Paulo State University (UNESP), followed by a Master’s Degree in Endodontics from the prestigious University of São Paulo (USP). After relocating to Miami, he completed a rigorous two-year AEGD residency, where he served as Chief Resident and later joined the program as faculty.
Throughout his career, Dr. Garcetti has combined exceptional technical proficiency with a patient-centered philosophy. His clinical expertise includes root canal therapy, complex restorative treatments, full-mouth rehabilitation, and digital dentistry using CBCT imaging, dental microscopes, CAD/CAM systems, and 3D printing.
Before moving to the United States, he spent more than 15 years as a private practice owner in Brazil and served as a Lieutenant Dentist in the Brazilian Army, earning commendations for excellence and leadership. He has published scientific research, trained dental teams, and consistently prioritizes evidence-based and compassionate care.
Known for his warm demeanor, clinical precision, and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Garcetti is dedicated to providing comfortable, high-quality dentistry to every patient he treats.

Sandra Montiel
Dr. Montiel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and foreign-educated physician from Cuba, specializing in aesthetic medicine. She earned her MD from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara and her MSN from Miami Regional University. A compassionate and detail-oriented practitioner, Dr. Montiel brings extensive experience in cosmetic injectables, skin rejuvenation, dermal fillers, neurotoxins, laser therapies, and advanced skincare protocols. She is committed to delivering safe, natural-looking results, creating personalized treatment plans for each patient, educating clients on optimal skin health, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and aesthetic artistry.
